Dr. Yafei Xu, PhD, HCLD, serves as Laboratory Director of Brown Fertility’s Embryology Laboratories in Jacksonville, Winter Garden, and Tampa, Florida. In this role, she provides scientific and operational leadership across all three laboratories, helping ensure the highest standards of laboratory quality, patient safety, precision, and embryo care.
Dr. Xu holds a PhD in Molecular Biology as well as a medical degree from China. She completed her postdoctoral training at Mayo Clinic, where she further developed her expertise in molecular and reproductive sciences. Throughout her research career, she has authored more than a dozen scientific publications in leading peer-reviewed journals. She is also board certified by the American Board of Bioanalysis as a High-Complexity Laboratory Director (HCLD), reflecting her advanced qualifications in the oversight of complex clinical laboratory operations.
